Tainted Path

This path I walk is tainted
By souls who wandered before
Wandering amidst the fog
Searching for something more
Endless dreams all shattered
And broken pieces left behind
Nothing more is reminisced
Nothing more left to find
Jaded love and broken souls
All wander on this path
Destiny is the final choice
For there is no turning back
I stare out amongst the fog
Searching for what I cant see
My life is flashed back in my head
And I wonder why this came to be
Suddenly a eerie growl
Bellows from behind
My heart is beating rapidly
And this monster I cant find
I run through this dark forest
As broken souls scream
Suddenly, a white light flashes
As I'm awoken from this dream
Haunted by its memories
And how I wish not to return
I put aside all my fears
And I give love another turn
