A weeping willow

by cowgirlstar26   Oct 23, 2005

Her tears silently shed
by sorrowful weeping
no one knows
the secrets the willow is keeping
hidden beside the winding stream
no one hears the willows screams
she stands by the waters edge alone
through the summers heat and the winters cold
the willow in her age is very wise
she can see past anyone's disguise
her strong roots hold her through life's storms
if you see her once, you'll go back wanting more
no one knows why this willow cries
no one See's the pain she conceals inside

Well done! This flows well and the imagery is great! I especially like these lines:

    "hidden beside the winding stream
no one hears the willows screams"

Very well done! The only suggestion I have is about the title! It doesn't do this poem justice! Take care~Holly
