Prince of the Night

Tonight was a night like no other
I think I've finally found a lover

I went to a dance with this guy
the hardest part of the night was saying goodbye

I've liked him now, for some years
over him I have cried many tears

but now he moved so far away
he still believes everything will be OK

tonight together we went to a dance
he looked so perfect, as I took a second glance

as I opened the door to see his face
I fell so deeply in to his embrace

at the dance we were dancing all so slow
I have fallen for this boy, that I know

he looked at me, eyes filled with bliss
and said "you're beautiful," with a gentle kiss

I couldn't get enough of this wonderful feeling
all of my hurts were slowly healing

he is my hero, my prince of the night
I never again want him to leave my sight
