My Hero

by None   Oct 23, 2005

My hero may not be a superstar,
Or an accomplished athlete.
My hero my not be famous,
And I'm pretty sure she's not a mathlete.

My hero's name may not be in lights,
But I know that day is coming soon.
Because I know if my hero set her heart on it,
She could probably jump over the moon.

My hero has a dream she wants to achieve,
And will work hard to get her chance.
Some hero's star in movies,
But my hero loves to dance.

It's kind of hard to explain though,
What makes her such an inspirational dancer to see.
Some people struggle to see it,
But is the most obvious thing in the world to me.

Not once have I ever seen her dance,
With a smile that was not real and told lies.
You can tell she really loves it,
Because you can see it in her eyes.

If I had never met her,
I wouldn't have given dance a try.
Though it isn't the most intense thing to watch,
I love to watch it, and will until I die.

My hero helped me open doors,
To worlds where she helped me see the sun.
Some worlds that were potentially boring,
But she shore did make them fun.

My hero may be my opposite
But she is my best friend.
She has helped me to look at life differently,
And always had a helping had to lend.

My hero is Christina
In about a million ways and probably more.
I just wish I had her guts and courage, so I could thank her to her face,
For helping me see the good behind every single door.
