This touched me deep.I know this feeling so well aand have wrote of similiar things, but this has such an overwhelming sense of sadness, angst and hopeless resignation and despair and perhaps the worst-the wondering, not knowing(I like how you repeat 'I don't know", it gives it all more impact)it is truly heartbreaking.I can't help but be moved by this piece.I hope the pain and confusion this was born of has turned to contentment and happiness.Great poem.
