Echoing reminder

Echoes of your voice still haunt my every dream
Trying to keep myself together, but ripping at the seem
These memories of you still remain within my soul
You thought you left with nothing, but it's my sanity you stole
Reach deep within me, try to grasp the remains of my heart
Black, worn, and tattered, it already fell apart
Try to read my thoughts, to see what lies in my mind
Static traces of lost hope, is all that you will find
Images of what was, and will be but once more
Then lost inside forever, more painful than before
The traces you left behind, imprinted in my eyes
And the emptiness that lives there, caused by all your lies
Your touch that lingers with me, and causes me to shake
It stays with me always, and causes this heartache
