Tears filled up my eyes today
Our party for you made you smile, what can i say?

When you played your bass on stage
I had this feeling like a wind of change

I went from being strong to almost crying
You were doing awesome and weren't even trying

I was so happy just to see you smile
All of this timing was worthwhile

I wanted to just cry because you got what you've been asking for
You thought it was just a party but you got a lot more

I'm so glad Kayla that we are still here today
so far...drug-free...hopefully that way will stay

I do not know what i would do
If i had to fight this thing without you

You're one of my sisters, i never had a close friend like you
You're apart of my life and everything i do

And if you thought today was bad, wait until we get old
Wait until you see all of my tears unfold

But it will be in a good way
When i watch you pursue your dreams and everything will be OK

I want you to remember I'm always by your side
Even if i start to cry because I'm happy, i won't hide

And i know that you are going to make me cry even more
Because i know you're going to complete everything you're working for

No matter how old, i will still care
