Hidden Smile

by HJ   Oct 24, 2005

Pieces of my world scatter.
As I grasp to my last bit of hope.
Human survival.
Try not to cry, always did just couldn't cope.

A midnight tale I tell.
Angels cry for evermore, I leave no dignity.
With growing isolation.
Spirited wings in the night sky begin to flee.

Faceless in the dark.
A vague fear begins once more to creep in.
Shadows dance upon the ceiling.
Harmony for a life was my biggest sin.

Too much time alone.
I regret that now its too late.
The struggle I accepted.
From a child I tried never to hate.

Stay ahead I say.
I know you understand from the hidden smile I project.
Cold air hits my face.
Each day, getting darker then the next.
