Learning to Swim

by d4tGurL   Oct 24, 2005

There was a man
Who had a tan
And wanted to go fishing

He found a boat
One that could float
And then began a swishing

He couldn't swim
So he went in
And pushed off shore

He loved the ocean
But not the motion
When it started to pour

He gave the bait
Its dreadful fate
And put in on the line

The sinker sunk
Through all the junk
And everything was fine

And then it came
As if to train
The man who couldn't swim

For the man jumped out
With nothing to shout
His chances seemed so dim

He moved his legs
One was a peg
And planked to wards the dock

By being chased
In this unfair race
He finally beat the clock

Now he teaches
The fine art of beaches
And swims everyday that he can

Had he had no luck
Like a silly old duck
He would be much less of a man
