Of Heart, Of Soul, Of Brain

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Oct 24, 2005

I'm sitting writing all of this
And my head is in a daze
I dream of naught but death's sweet kiss
Only this makes my hopes raise

I wish i could let my blood flow
Just slowly leave this shell
I yearn so much, just to go
And leave this, my living hell

Dreams of death awake me
Each and every night
My soul too, yearns to be free
And this causes me fright

But I know I can't escape
I've earned all of my pain
So I will sit, suffer this rape
Of heart, of soul, of brain

Wow! Great poem! Truly wonderful! I am a fan of the abab cdcd rhyme scheme and you did such a very nice job of it! Wonderful poem! My favorite stanza was:

"I wish i could let my blood flow
    Just slowly leave this shell
I yearn so much, just to go
And leave this, my living hell"

    Keep up the great work!
