My Heart

by Dark Kitten   Oct 24, 2005

My heart goes out to all those who,
Fell down and never picked them selves up,
Broken down in millions of pieces,
And thought it best to hide their stuff,

Shoved every sorrow down inside,
Trying so hard not to break,
Putting on a mask for every one around,
Even when they thought their lives were at stake,

Shrouded out by the thoughts and feelings,
Of what people placed as their role,
Thought to be the happiest people,
When sorrow was taking its toll,

Feeling as if they could just keep quiet,
About everything that was wrong in their lives,
That all would be fine in the process,
And the pain would not hurt like dull knives,

Every day they seek for comfort,
Of any sort and kind,
Only to find that their only peace,
Was the solemn silence of their mind,

Finding any way, EVERY way possible,
To shove the sorrow back,
Looking to drugs, gangs, and prostitution,
For the warmth of love they lack,

My heart goes out to all those who,
Fell down and never picked them selves up,
Broken down in millions of pieces,
And thought it best to hide their stuff

Can relate to this in many ways. cept for the prostitution thing. It was an amazing poem, and I loved how you ended it, repeating the first stanza as the last one. very beautiful.

"hide their stuff," I'm not sure if that fitted with the rest of the poem
I like the use of millions of pieces, makes it sound unrepairable
and the use of caps on every - good empahsis
