My Room

by Vic   Oct 25, 2005

I look around this quiet room, it feels completely empty.

It feels familiar, similar to what's within me.

I wait so long for something to resound somewhere.

Like my heart, there's nothing, I realize nobody's there.

Lost and alone, I wait for somebody to arrive.

I wait for the day when I can feel alive.

This time, this dark quiet room has a locked door.

Nobody can ever steal from it anymore.

It signifies my heart, which I have stowed away.

I won't let anyone in, no matter what they say.

There's only space for two people in this room.

With me as one, my better half has not yet come.

I'm here always looking out my only window.

The girl I long for never shows.

Nobody's in this room, there is no company.

I need her love, she completes me...
