What was I thinking?

You made me believe that you would always be by my side.
But when trouble hits, you do what you do best
...run and hide.

You told me everything I wanted to hear.
When I was hurt, you were there to wipe my tears.
But in the end it was you who made me cry.
You walked away without giving me a good reason why.
Why make me promises that you had no intention of keeping?
Was I hearing those words, or was I just dreaming?

In your case, I guess it just takes time for a boy to grow up to be a man.
Why see the real world, when you can build castles in the sand?

Well, you can't blame someone for dreaming.
However though, when I think of you now,
I must ask myself again...
"What was I thinking?"
