Love makes adults open.
You can laugh your ass off
if you want too.
But I take love seriously.

The joke is on me
because I was serious.
The joke is on you
because you laughed.

The joke is on me
because love is playful.
The joke is on you
because you were playful.

Friends first now
I am certain.
Friends last now
I know.

Friends can love
truly and honestly.
Friends need friends
because love can be scary.

But what was then
was this feeling
when I first met you.
Can you name it?

What do you call prelove?
How do you describe the feeling?
Is it real friendship
or does it have another name?

Is laughing wrong
or is it just playful?
Is it OK to play at love
or is playing wrong?

How can you know
if you are not certain?
But can't you still feel it
or is the feeling all gone?

    The last stanza is my favorite. Pulls the poem all together and leaves room for interpretation from the reader. I have to give credit where credit is do, and I absolutely adore this poem just like all your other work. Very smart and creative play off of LMAO by the way. =)
