Daddy it's 2:13
and I'm glad you found a way
to say hello
It's hard to hug a number though
Maybe you could come back
as just a voice
and sing a childish tune
that will remind me of you
Maybe you could come back
as laughter
and I will curl my lips and giggle
back at you
Maybe you could come back
as a shooting star
and suddenly
my wish will come true
and I will be standing
next to you
Maybe 2:13
is all there ever will be
and that's okay
atleast you found a way
to say hello

    Wow i like this poems you wrote it sooo good. I know how it feels but it wasen't my real father it was my bestfriends dad and he was like a second father to me. But anywayz keep up the good work.

    This poem is heart wrenching. But beautifully written. It brought a tear to my. Although I can relate I have some friends who lost thier fathers at an early age so I have seen how death affects a person when someone as close as a father passes away.
    You are very talented so your comments on my poems mean alot to me. I hope you have been able to find yourself again after your tragic loss.

    Incredibly sad, it's written so simply and with an almost happy ending that you can really sense the sadness behind it. Your work is amazing, keep it up :)
