Lament of the Seer

by Karl Brondehoff   Oct 25, 2005

Through life's twisted corners,
I See what will be,
though it doesn't always bode well,
It is what I am, to help others for Thee.

I, like a modern day prophet,
Warn of dangers to others,
be unheeded my message goes,
like the prattling of silly mothers,
The solemnity of my being, rejected
for unambiguous purposes smothered.

Forever will I struggle against you Fates and Fyries,
This shall not come to pass,
as what is foretold seethes through
to history.
I cannot control that which I See,
because if I did, I would wish to See,
that, which shall be the end of me.
Till that day, ever shall I harken to,
the Lament of the Seer.
