I don't like things here
Mother and Father tell me to not say that outloud
In private, they tell me the Americans are coming, and things will change
I have hope for a better country
We heard planes last night going over our house
Bombs shook our home and blackened the sky
It was the Americans; they have come to free us from Sadaam
We are at war, and now it seems that life is worse
Now, we can only stay at home, and the lights have gone out
I am quite frightened
Soon, I hear the adults saying that the war is over now
In the streets, it seems like no one is in charge
I don't like things here
