If you have seen all the things I have seen
You can know

Friends lie
Parents cry
people get high
And no one sees anything through your eyes

Everyone pretends it's not true
Like nothing happened
And life goes on
And it is the same sad old song
But the truth is people need hope to survive
So strive for the truth
By making sure

You don't tell lies
You don't make your parents cry
And you don't get high
So you can see the truth
Maybe in the end you won't feel dead because you will know the truth.
