Heart Remains

by LadyPearl   Oct 27, 2005

I cannot breath when you say those words to me
My hands grow cold, locked away in misery
All you think about is your pain
my love and faith, you have drained
Shattering pieces of lonely voices
taking away all my beloved choices
Making me fake a smile
My smile comes with denial
Only the darkness still remains
cherished light has been sustained

Stare upon my dreary heart
tear me open, tear me apart
I, so young filled with fear
all I did was shed my tears
Tried to break your spellbound walls
Tried to free you to my calls
But in the shadows you still stayed
harmony and joy has been delayed
Trying to stop my inside cries
Cause that's weakness in your eyes
You only see a girl all weak
a soul that's lost and bleak

Now you're gone after these years
Yet your spirit feels so near
Preventing me to love someone
at first I thought you have won
but now I realize you've paved a road
a new story about to be told
Preventing myself from the same mistakes
Opening eyes, I'm finally awake
My heart, my soul still remains
I no longer stand in rain
in the sun I have been born
my feelings are no longer torned
