An eternity...

From time to time I get lost in a moment.
I want to hold it.
And own it.
The best moment.
I can't believe you still don't see me.
The sound of the ocean echo's in the house.
And yet there is not a sound.
The sunshine is brighter than the sun.
But the rooms are still pitch black.
Time has passed me by.
And still here I am.
Right here waiting.
Waiting for you to come back.
And once again.
Silence is my best friend.
And after all these years.
Still your not here.
I'm still stuck in that moment.
That split second.
Memories replay in my minds eye.
Your smile, your laugh.
Everything seems fine.
I just wait for the day when your mine.
That was then and I'm still waiting.
After awhile your picture drops to the floor.
I no longer have the will to pick it up.
It erodes on the floor.
But still I wait and it's still just me.
It seems as if it's been an eternity...
