Rain

by Bill Turner   Oct 27, 2005

Rain falls gently from the sky
Steady, pure and strong
Washing the troubles from you and I
Allowing us to remain strong

Our love nourished by the rain
Growing true and right
Easing each others pain
Loving one another through the night

This night your tears cascade down
From a night of dreadful stress
You should never wear a frown
You should never be under duress

I will stand by your side
Loving you forever
Someday you shall be my bride
Living our life together

Rain continues to fall
Washing it all away
Years from now this will seem small
Our love having lit the way
