Your Words

by ♥Leah♥   Oct 27, 2005

Your words sting me,
Scold me like boiling water.
They eat me alive,
Why do I even bother?

Your words haunt me,
Prevent me from sleeping.
They vibrate in my mind,
Reasons for my weeping.

Your words stab my heart,
Affect my thoughts.
They burn into my memories,
Think of all my costs.

Your words are my killer,
Hurtful and mistreating.
They got to my sanity,
I gave after too many of their beatings.

Your words were too much,
Shook me to the core.
I'm sorry it turned out this way,
I just couldn't take your words anymore.

HEy. i reallllllly reallly love this one. obviously im not going to get the exact meaning out of it as to why you felt this way, because everyone gets a different perspective when they read poetry and tahts why its so great. it can have so many different meanings.i guess its just when u read it, how u apply it to your life and what has happened. i know with me when i read this, i think of a boy, who really hurt me emotionally and physically, and whenever something happens if i hear his words, i still can feel the pain. but im sure thats not what yours is about. and poetry clubs are sort of for getting your poetry noticed a bit more, to have people to talk to about them that will answer, and different stuff like that. its weird tho, because not many groups do that. i know for sure i havent gotten a comment or vote from every single person in out poetry club. it would take them each one minute yet none of them do. so i also, find myself question what these clubs are all about.
