The Me You Can't See

by Jordan   Oct 27, 2005

In my domestic tomb
I lie in hiding
Bringing about my own doom
All these years I've wasted
Afraid of being human
Bitterness and resent, I've tasted
I harbor this pain
So you can't see
These tears shed in vain
Under my blanket is where I wish to escape
To fade away into the threads
Leave this place without harm nor scrape
Isolated and jaded
I can feel it, as it starts to grow
Deep within my chest
Depression's gift to bestow
I want to scream
Release this agony
I want to be free to dream
Yet, I hold myself back..
Left to think of what might have been
To dwell on all that I lack...
