Scars & Wounds

by Rhi   Oct 28, 2005

Some scars and wounds are visible,
Others can't be seen.
But when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Some scars and wounds are cut deep,
In your heart or on your skin.
Some just graze the top,
But when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Some scars and wounds hurt more than others.
Some don't hurt at all.
But they're still there.
And when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Some scars and wounds aren't meant to be there.
And other times the people who cause them, don't care.
But you care, and your friends care.
And when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Some scars and wounds heal over time.
Others are always there.
But all the wear and tear,
Will hopefully be forgotten,
But when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Some scars and wounds are in the heart.
Others choose another part.
But the ones in the heart,
Pierce with a deep pain.
That seems to never go away.
But when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Some scars and wounds are on the outside,
Not like the ones in the heart.
The ones on the outside,
Will eventually heal,
And the more love, you give and receive,
The quicker they'll leave.
But when it comes to me,
I have both, can't you see?

Visible or invisible,
Deep or not,
Painful or not,
Healed or unhealed,
Scars and wounds will hurt for a while.
But eventually the pain will part.
From scars and wounds.
Wounds and scars.
I have both, can't you see?
