Darkness Within

by Beka   Oct 28, 2005

Shadows cast a pallid darkness
across my soul,
The demon within stirs and writhes
within his hidden cage,
Day by day the bars grow weaker,
Moment by moment it grows stronger,

Pace and howl within the darkness,
Glowing midnight eyes shine out,
Glaring at those that pass the eyes
of its host,
Snarls and curses slip its lips,
Spells and incantations pass its
tounge,

Weaker and weaker grow its confines,
Soon to release the devil within,
Weaker and weaker grows its host,
Coming to the point of shere exhaustion,
No longer having the will to fight,
Slowly giving in with each intake of
breath,

With each passing breath the host
gives in,
With each passing moment the demon
gets closer,
Hell soon comes to the child of angels,
Demons soon become his master for life,

Soon the child recedes to darkness,
Host no more to the flesh that housed
him so long,
Darkness enshrounds and binds him whole,
Taking from him his life forever.
