Tears of masscara

by cowgirlstar26   Oct 29, 2005

Mascara running down my cheek
down my arms and into the street

falling from the dark sky is crimson rain
water mixes with my tears, nothing seems to ever change

feeling lost and so alone
walking along this lonely road

no street lights anywhere just opaque darkness
this isn't where I should be as I linger in my sadness

the lightning races across the blackened sky
the thunder crashes, as the heavens cry

now the make up is gone, I no longer can hide behind my mask
I cry out to God asking forgiveness for all I lack

I hear his voice, as the storm starts to fade
he takes me in his arms and he takes my blade

the sun shines down lighting up my smoky blue eyes
god broke my chains and forgave all my lies....
