This is very deep. I can fully understand the sorrow and the love all in the same emotion. Quite an empowering poem in relation to life, love and departure!

Wow this was a strong poem. The best lines to me were
He asked if I was at peace with God and if I was prepared for the worst.
He prayed for me and hoped that I had the strength and will to survive.
I was prepared, prepared to die.
