Look Around

by Tho   Oct 29, 2005

So many people turn from beauty,
Afraid of what they may find,
a branch, a twig, a leaf, a tress,
they leave it all behind,

If they could stay for just a minute,
and see what i have seen,
their eyes would soften and burst in color,
a hue of cocoa beans,

They pass it by without a glance,
their eyes keep straight ahead,
they do not stop to think or see,
and soon they're off to bed,

A whole day of rushing,
not appreciating what is there,
and if they're not careful they are bound,
to live without a care,

You can go on as you please,
and pass the small things by,
but at the end, ...
what matters most,
is what you've left behind.
