STRANGERS...

by Tho   Oct 29, 2005

Two people pass along the street,
Not knowing one another,
Years later they would meet,
And be introduced to each other,

They will laugh a little here and there,
Then not knowing what else to say,
They will say goodbye without a care,
Then part to get on with their day,

A few months later one's in turmoil,
While the other lends an ear,
And they both talk to loosen the coils,
Not knowing that they draw near,

This goes on for many days,
Until the other gives up hope,
And they both are left in disarray,
As one learns how to cope,

And all the feelings bottled up, die out,
Until his problems cease,
And now she knows without a doubt,
That this has left a crease,

Then through the shadows they make their way,
With guilty thoughts in mind,
Not knowing how to show or say,
They're tempted yet in a bind,

Many months pass and the pressure dissolves,
They feel comfortable in each others embrace,
And together they look out wards to see,
The troubles they know they must face,

Two people pass along the street,
And recognizing one another,
They come together hand-in-hand,
A bind connecting two lovers.
