Superman

by CHAOTIC   Oct 29, 2005

Carve your name into my wrist
And as the blood drips slowly to the floor
You ask me why I wanted you to do this
Why you're the one that I adore

Gently kiss my scars away for good
The memories will finally fade
But as you do this, you ask me
Why I keep living if I'm so afraid

Catch me when I fall off the edge
Jagged rocks are awaiting me at the bottom
You ask what will happen if you can't
What if you're too late?
I say, "Then leave me dead and rotten"

Wake me up if I'm having a nightmare
So I won't wake up with cold sweat
You're scared you won't reach me in time
You say you're afraid of being filled with regret

Protect me from the storms that appear
There's no one else to help me through
But you wonder how long you can hold on for
I might slip, no matter what you try and do

"I would do anything for you," you say
"But some I cant do and some I can"
All I do is kiss you and then I say
"I know you're not perfect, neither am I
But you are my kind of superman"
