Fallen Angel

by Dominique   Oct 30, 2005

Mournful, unyielding stare
painted on her white stone face
a statue absent from all emotion
an angel fallen from grace

she watches as the world goes by
and still remains unseen
silent words she often whispers
and no one knows what they mean

she grives forever silently
overall she has lost
determined to feel whole again
no matter what the cost

her silent cries are never heard
a tear rolls down her cheek
faith has left her broken heart
her mind, and body now weak

to devested to ask for help
or to kneel down and pray
no one would understand,
the Almighty has turned away

to much pain to live with
to much sadness to comprehend
to many memories, to many lies
this is my confession
no more playing pretend
