My Escape

Everything was fine,
Then teenage years came, I crossed the line.
My world was strong, this world was mine.
Now look at me, been passed by time.

Blood pumped through my every vein.
My heart pumped blood and I was aight,
Then came hell,
I lost it, I lost the light.

Stuck alone,
Crying at home,
Nobody at all,
To witness my great downfall.

I was a warrior,
Strong as can be,
Now just a wounded soldier,
Drowning in the sea.

This aint life,
You need to breathe to live,
And I am suffocating,
With nothing but these words to give.

Alright, God did his best,
I will give him that,
But sometimes I doubt his decision,
I dont know where his thoughts were at.

But I will thank him for giving me a brain,
For letting me write,
This is my world,
I write about dying, and I just might.

But if that ever happens,
I will leave behind these,
So when you read all this,
Believe the words, please.

    Hey, i really luved this poem, i really liked the end verse, i thought it sounded gr8 n the overall flow of this poem is amazingly simple and, i think, fluid.

    i really liked this verse as well,

    I was a warrior,

    Wow absolutely amazing. I don' know how you do it but wow..you're sensational. so the poem was undoubtedly a masterpiece...but i hope oyu don't feel so blue all the time.
