Little Girl

by ~*~MoNiQuE~*~   Oct 31, 2005

There’s a little girl with a smile on her face,
She’s dressed in pink, all pretty in lace,
Her heart is pure and protected by innocence,
With a body that possesses features immense.

But as I watch such a beautiful child,
My heart skips and thoughts go wild,
Her inward beauty will never last,
The world will bring her a regretful past.

Staring into her eyes, I see my reflection,
I see the change; her loss of perfection,
I know the exact way she wants to flee,
To escape the coming trails as it happened to me

I truly like this b/c I know that what you're saying is true! This image you're presenting of a little innocent girl makes me think of myself b/4 life got me down! Things get hard as life wears on but it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who realizes it! Later
