Stuck in the middle of nothing

by MEGAN BUTTERLY   Oct 31, 2005

I am stuck in the middle
the middle of nothing it seems
i keep on going
but i don\'t know where i am headed

i am stuck in the middle
the middle of nothing
i want to take my life
but i know i cant do that

i have loved ones i would leave behind
but my life i have is going to change
for the better i hope

this life i have i hate so much
i just don\\\'t know how to cope

i move from place to place
and never seem to be happy
maybe i am not meant to be happy

i am stuck in the middle of nothing and dont know what to do
i guess i can keep on going
atleast for now and give life just one more chance
i don\\\'t think it will work out
so i will always be stuck in the middle
the middle of nothing

This is kinda hybrid form of literature where its typically song/poem tandem, the metre is good, was a bit inconsistent though as to lines count per stanza, and rhymings...but u go girl, u have the power to express emotions in simply writing them down. You easily relate to your readers, tactless it could be, maybe cuz of ur age, but it sounded well reigned in. As a whole, this poem conveys a message a question too familiar in life but tough to answer, well, I hope it was all fictional for if not, it denotes pessimism and for a young girl like you, a budding rosebud, it is not advisable to think negatively. I will continue to read and rate ur works as I find more time. I use to give honest feedback that enhances more of our craft in a constructive way. I wonder how is it when u reached my age, you could have been a well-acclaimed poetess by then. Cheers. LoadsofLove, chitcyn
