Words on My Screen

by Tricia   Nov 1, 2005

Running freely through my thoughts,
Stopping once to see the wave,
Glancing over my shoulder and you were there,
Penetrating that wondrous gaze.
Playing childly in the dark corner,
Acting as a pirate,
Staring woefully at your eyes,
Seeing all there was in it.
Purposefully catching my attention,
Getting to my subconscious,
Complicating all my feels,
I can only think about us.
You are only words on my screen,
But I feel that I know you,
Met you through a dear friend,
My heart melts in your non-toxic brew.
Glancing over my shoulder and you were there,
Take me away is what I ask,
Hypnotizing is your stare,
You are just words on my screen.
