One Year

I was walking through the house and something caught my eye.
Something walked past my window and it seemed to be a guy.
He looked quite familiar from the glance that I had seen.
So I opened the window and yelled out the screen.
I seen him turn around and I realized who it was.
It was someone who I loved and was so very fond of.
He died only a year ago, come tomorrow at ten
He was my father, my hero, he was my bestest friend.
Tears streamed from my eyes as he walked near
He said Babygurl its ok you have nothing to fear.
I have come to talk to you about all the mistakes you have made.
I know you miss me but Im ok.
I have been watching down on you and trying to keep you safe.
But you keep getting worse day by day.
I haven't given up on you, I want you to succeed.
Maybe it will help if you talk to me.'
"Daddy Im sorry for causing you so much pain.
But you leaving me behind has left me insane.
I miss you so much, Im all lonely inside.
Mommy holds her feelings but she cant hide.
I havent been the same since you left me that day.
We were suppose to be a team, it wasnt suppose to happen this way.
Im sorry for the trouble and all the mischief I have made.
But the anger builds up more and more everyday.'
"My dear child it was my time to go.
Why it was me, God only knows.
Im really not gone I'm still in your heart.
And Im with you every place you are.
Your day will come, but you have to patiently wait.
You have so much to live for each and every day.
Now I have to go my time here is complete.
Remember what I said, and dont forget about me.
