I Miss My Friend

I love him
But clearly,
He doesn't feel the same
Its causing me so much misery,
So much pain
I want things back to how they used to be
He was my best friend,
Now I'm so scared our friendship is going to end
Even if our friendship still remains,
It won't take away the pain
It will make everything awkward
It will be weird
It will make everything seem like its backward
I know I have to quit thinking of him and get some sleep tonight,
But when I was in his arms,
It felt so right
I loved it when he held me so tight
I will always miss that moment
I didn't want it to end,
But most of all,
I miss my friend
