Goodbye

by Truest Lies   Nov 1, 2005

Things are changing,
And I hate the difference,
Between today,
and yesterday.

Its as though no matter what we do,
We manage to change nothing,
And we cry, scream, beg, pray,
That the people we loved before,
Will come back to us.

I know from experience,
And from personal pain,
That no matter what I do,
Nothing will happen,
So today I say goodbye,
To all of you,
Whether you are on the other side of the world,
Or in the sky,
It doesnt matter,
This is my farewell,
These are my useless tears,
To you,
My dearest peers.

You gave me a gift,
That I did not even imagine,
Could not even fathom,
Until I thought I had lost it.
Now I have it here,
And I clutch it tight,
Today I will not give up,
The friendship fight.
