Among the stars

Among the stars that sat so silently free
I gazed in happiness as one fell; it fell for you and me
I saw the star dust fall sparkling wild
And like a little kid I smiled

I made a wish upon that star
That you would be wherever you are
Thinking of me as Im thinking of you
Because a star like that there must only be few

I laid in my bed and stared at the ceiling
Grinning at such a magical feeling
In fact now I am sure
Stars like that there are no more

And that one that shone and faded
Was to show that our words will never be jaded
I laid alone and dreamed of you and me
And the star that fell for us so free
