Bad Character

by Jemma   Nov 1, 2005

The sharpened blades and teeth in heart
The welded joints of frozen steel
The shattered hearts of hearts which feel

Among the heroes, tales of joy
The villains that evil employ
The wicked trials and tricks they play
Hiding, seething, afraid of day

Hidden in a grassy hill and lost within the valley
They reappear, daunting in a forsaken alley
The knives are dim yet shine in the light
Reflecting the moon in this neglective night

Whispers echo in the tormented street
Fear as dreams become nightmares
Footsteps hasten down and meet
Follow your feet over this ground

Eyes watch over as you pass by
They linger in shadows, in secrets they lie
Villains are seeking a lair to hide in
The heroes are searching an end to the sin

Pacing and pacing, wearing earth thin
Finishing a task you still need to begin
Laughter and screaming fade through the air
Heroes searching but can’t fins the lair

Many bad doers find rope locked about them
And many good people find that darkness tricked them
The end cannot come because the battles can’t cease
The perfect page, fault in a crease
