The Gay Postman

by Matters   Nov 1, 2005

Time after time, day after day,
Her body is frail by the window she lays,
Entranced by him in a never ending gaze.

Gladly she accepts the mail,
And watches him leave with a silent wail,
Yearning for her new plan not to fail.

Placing herself by the door,
Opens it and asks for more,
So seductive, aren't I, hun,
Then come on in and have some fun-
Mrs., I hate to say, I'm sorry to spoil, but I'm gay,
And ever since that summer day,
No one remained in her heart to stay.

If you didn't notice, it's an acrostic. (Look at the beginning of each line.)

I don't understand what you mean by an "acrostic".. I think this is good though, it's funny.
