Wind

by LettersFromEnnis   Nov 1, 2005

In one direction
The trees fly by
Powerless hands reaching out
Trying to touch the sky

As the wind blows
Under things unseen
Ive grown to know why
No longer green

The voices in the wind
Blown away dry and hollow
Hunted down by hand
Seeking out for help

Let the feathers fly away
And hope to show the sign of life
Let them see the truth
Give them back their sight

Let the sun dig up from its grave
As it make the shadows long
The wind blows stronger now
As I hear the birds arid song

Unfamiliar things fly on
And all the things that could never have been
Then I see my life go by
Flying in the wind
