Fields of grass

by Janniieee   Nov 2, 2005

I saw fields of grass today,
As I lay apon them,
I floated away.
So wonderful,
I'd cared to stay.

It embraced me as I stared into the sky,
for once, a mind numbing blue,
That was reflected by my dark brown eyes,
and took me away to lands anew.

The blue just inspired me so much,
For once I felt I was enough,
And as the sun was setting for another day,
I could feel the sunlight melting away.
SO wonderful,
I'd cared to stay.

I got up and I danced,
in the middle of this field!!
With one hand raised above my head,
one down low to steady me,
and then I layed down as if I were dead.

For a moment,
I had danced to a song,
never composed and never sung,
but bells for me had come and wrung.
That feeling alone was all I needed.
And then again, I proceeded,
to focus on the heavens to,
study the skies for the things I knew.
