So sweet thy name death...

by Susan   Nov 2, 2005

Bitter tears of despair fall.

Life holds no witness to true joy.

If just today I only receive a little taste of the end.

As the blood trickles down my wrist,

So sweet it is.

I know what awaits me if I commit this act,

It will be a burning, forever, sinister end.

For my soul will be lost.

So until that day comes I will suffer.

For I am no one,

I am not able to feel love,

Only able to feel the blade cross my wrist.

I press it to my flesh,

I feel an instant relief.

Then the rush is gone.

So sweet thy name death…

I press it to my heart...

YES! I scream into the night in relief and in pain.

As the blood flows wickedly

I know...

Thou time hast come.

Yes now death will finally come…

FOR ME!

THis poem was written by my best friend Jessa who died. I changed some things to it. It is also on fictionpress.net under silent tears of despair screen name and on fanfiction.net is a great peom by Jessa!
