Playing My Guitar

When I play the my guitar I feel so good.
After a few strokes, I'm in a good mood.
Hearing all the notes that come out of the guitar
or even listening to people playing at a bar.

The feel of the strings made of plastic or metal
makes me lose track of time and forget about the kettle.
Holding the pick that is in a shape of a triangle.
Wondering if I can bend it in all kinds of angles.

The light that reflects off of my guitar when its clean
can blind people and turn them mean.
The smell of a fresh cleaned guitar top
is always better smelling than an old mop.

Playing songs from movies from the past,
like Desperado which is very fast.
Singing to the songs that I can play
can make it feel like a short day.

After playing everyday for a hour or two,
I get finished and don't know what else to do.
So I pick up my guitar and continue to play
and cant even hear people when they scream hey.

When I'm bored I always play my guitar
or even listen to people play at a bar.
Thinking of other songs to play while listening to the radio in the car,
and always knowing that someday it can get me far.

When I play my guitar I feel so good,
it always puts me in a good mood.
