Enough Already

by GoddessOfWings   Nov 2, 2005

Enough already, make it right,
give back those precious days you stole from me,
soak up the thousands of tears I cried,
remove the many scars I created on my pale skin.
I screamed until my throat bled,
I ran until my feet were blistered,
I looked until my eyes were soar and blind,
I hoped until my heart was squeezed into nothing.

Enough already, make it right,
take back those words you cursed at me over and over,
return the many smiles I showed for you,
scream in agony at my feet, bleed forever,
I walk among the most beautiful roses;
their stems are carved of human bone,
I walk beneath the most graceful clouds;
they shower the poisonous rain of pain and sorrow.

Enough already, make it right,
head back to where you came from and leave nothing behind,
wipe that malicious grin from your lips,
I shall have the last smile; I promise you.
God's eyes cast shame down upon you,
the Goddesses spirits urge punishment your way,
and I shall be standing, dependent and strong,
allowing my single tear of relief and peace to fall.
