Distant Fears

by Stephen Ho   Nov 2, 2005

Minute we're apart I grow ever more afraid,
Of losing you for good, will our friendship remain or fade?
The times we've spent I forever replay in my mind,
Good times, bad times, an intimate friend is hard to find,
I've made you laugh; I've made you cry,
You in return have kept me on a constant high,
With laughter shall eventually be followed by tears,
These tears are of 'goodbyes' and 'keep in touch' ... distant fears,
With tears shall eventually be followed by laughter,
The realisation of dealing with NOW; the present than 'here-afters',
I will miss your smiles, your frowns, your beautiful face,
However I know I have a friend I could never replace.
