A shiny worthless piece of art

by Sarah Ann   Nov 2, 2005

A silent tear released from grace
Another glint across her face
The blade it shines into her heart
A shiny worthless piece of art

A praise for all the world to see
Another cut, a count to three
The light it truly blinds her eyes
She cannot see or hear the cries

Darkness twist around her soul
Another cut to make her whole
The pain, it fills her at its best
A hint of silence to her rest

A bloody mark-up of her fate
Another scream yet its too late
The blade it dove into her heart
A shiny worthless piece of art
