My First Accident

by Clonjey   Nov 2, 2005

I was bored as I soared down the road.
I ignored and my reward was a crash before I slowed.
I couldn't afford to pay the price that I owed.
If I hadn't blinded my vision there'd be no collision.
My shame has risen and what I envisioned was pride, isn't.
I wouldn't feel this tension if I had paid attention.
After every minute I asked, "Why did I go so fast?"
But it's in the past...
So I'll forget it, this will be the last issue.
I still regret it, because it was your love that I crashed into.
