Shadow In the Dark

Like your shadow,
Hiding in the dark,
Standing there,
Waiting to be noticed,

Holding all these feelings inside,
Dying to speak the truth,
Hoping your feeling,
The same way that I do,

Yet to scared,
When given the chance,
One glance into your eyes,
My mind is lost,

My heart is still there,
But yet it cannot speak,
If it could,
You might have already knew,

That, my desires for you,
Are like no other,
I still get that feeling inside,
Every time your near,

I'll never forget,
All the never ending conversations,
Or the late nights,
Sneaking out and getting caught,

The sound of your laugh,
Or, the gentleness of your hug,
The day you said good-bye,
Because you were leaving for college,

There I stood,
Like your shadow,
Hiding in the dark,
Wandering if you ever noticed.
